| Marcia Hines grew up in Boston, where she began her public performances in a church choir; before a short stint at the city’s Conservatorium of Music. Inspired by a friend’s sister (a lady by the name of Donna Summer) she, at the age of 16, auditioned and got a role in the production of "Hair".
After "Hair" had run its course, Marcia moved onto the Australian cabaret scene where it wasn’t long before she was plucked from potential obscurity to play the role of Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar.
Marcia made her own television show and in consecutive years gained three "Queen of Pop" awards. She also gained 5 top ten albums and sold over 1 million units in Australia alone.
Over the past few years Marcia has been performing in plays and musicals around the country and re-gathering her energies. Throughout her career she has achieved many things through discipline and hard work. Now, looking and sounding better than ever, she is once again posed to thrill music lovers around the world - not only her diehard fans but a whole new generation as well.
