I write to express our deep appreciation of the superb performance delivered by Gerrard Gosens at the Motivational Workshop which formed a part of the Awards Weekend we produced for our client, QR at the Kondari Resort, Hervey Bay on Saturday, October 20th, 2001.

Gerrard was as usual, the consummate professional, one moment moving the audience of QR Staff to tears with his self-effacing modesty in the face of adversity and extraordinary personal challenge…the next, rolling them in the aisles with hysterical anecdotes about the perils and pitfalls of day-to-day life as a blind adolescent and aspiring world-class athlete.

To say that Gerrard is a genuine inspiration, and a giant amongst men is to understate his talent, determination, and awesome achievements on both the national and world stage.

He is a gifted presenter, a warm communicator and from a Producer’s viewpoint, an absolute joy to deal with as Keynote / Motivational Speaker.

We are already looking forward to the next opportunity when we might invite Gerrard to captivate and delight yet another corporate audience.

Gerard’s presentation was an inspiration to us all. One of the key messages to us as leaders of organisations was to acknowledge that we all have a disability, i.e. we all have weaknesses, but that we should never use our disability as an excuse not to achieve our dreams, to be successful in business, or to live our lives and strive to improve ourselves. The challenge is not to become complacent but to keep growing, keep learning, keep striving for new challenges, keep setting new goals to succeed, no matter what age, what stage in life, and what disability, we can all climb mountains.

Gerard’s life and attitude is a testimonial to us all that we can strive for more and succeed. Anything is possible if you believe it and have the passion, self confidence and commitment to go and do it.
